East West Photography were hired to capture the beautiful Sikh Wedding Photography for couple our Kiran & Rav, which took place at Ramgaria Gurdwara in Neville Road East London.
The handsome groom adorned a Red turban to go with his Blue velvet Shirvani and looked very majestic for the Sikh ceremony which was held in the morning. While Kiran the stunning bride got dressed by the amazing Gini Bhogal Mua, chose to wear a traditional Red lengha dress. Gini’s makeup skills are second to none and kiran look absolute stunning once the whole look was finished.
At the gurdwara before the Lawa ceremony, The Civil ceremony took place and when Rav first laid eyes Kiran he was blown away. The traditional Sikh ceremony is quite formal affair where the couple sit and listen of the musicians and the prayers being read from the Guru Granth Sahib. The couple then go around the Guru Granth Sahib four times whilst special verses are sung before the final ardas and the couple are then finally married. The ceremony can last up to an one hour. Finally all friend and family will wish the couple.
The afternoon reception was the Grand Meridian. A new banqueting Hall specially designed to cater for weddings. The venue is very popular for Asian Weddings in East London. So one of us managed to get there before hand and capture the splendour of the hall. The main attraction was the huge cake that was designed and made by Cremdelacakes. Krisha Pithwa had done a amazing bake and the cake was being featured in Channel 4’s “Extreme Cakes” programme. When the couple saw it they were totally aghast at the beauty of her creation. Once the cake was cut the Kamalogy DJ’s took over and the party went on till late in the evening with Dhol players and dancers. In between Indus Catering had laid our a lavish dinner with beautiful deserts that really went down well.
Asian Wedding Photographers, East West Photography would like to thank and wish the beautiful couple all the very best for the future and to all the amazing service providers for making this Sikh Wedding so special.
